I have a BA in Exercise Science, but there's not much I can do unless I go back to school. I really want to go back to school, but I can't seem to narrow things down. I thought maybe I should think about things that I like, and fashion constantly pops up in my head. Does anyone have advice? I would really love to know more about the fashion industry from someone with experience, especially if I'm planning on leaving my current path to pursue it.I am having trouble deciding on a career. Can I get some advice?
first choose which part of the industry you are interested in (design, business, production, wholesale, retail, distribution, etc..)
there are tons of fashion schools out there with FIT and Parsons both being the most well known (both located in NYC)I am having trouble deciding on a career. Can I get some advice?
Asking about fashion careers is like asking about the ocean. Fashion employment spans a lot of information. There are jobs for the creative, the analytical, the introvert and the extravert.
Most people that talk to me about fashion employment are either into buying or design. How do you find out about these gigs? Most community colleges that have a fashion/ merchandising program (there are about 400 plus programs in the US) have an intro to fashion careers class. Check it out!
