I want any advice and tips to get any type of job. Can you give me basic tips to get a job. What type of first priority qualities should a candidate have?What is the best tip or advice to get any type of job?
Dress like you would for your interview when you go apply for a job. You never know who will see you, or if you will have an on-the-spot interview. Don't show tattoos or piercings other then the ears. No weird hair styles or hair colors. Don't chew gum or wear a hat to your interview. Make sure you always have your resume and reference page available. Arrive about five minutes early to the interview. More then five minutes and you are usually just an annoying inconvenience. Right on time and they have already started wondering if you are going to show up. If the application is a paper Application make sure you use NEAT legible handwriting. If the application is on the computer ensure that you use proper punctuation. All caps on your name is usually a bad sign.... Ensure that you feel out all applications completely. Do not write, ';See Resume.'; Potential employers are looking for how much time you spend at one job. If you have multiple jobs that only lasted a couple months it is a bad sign unless they were seasonal or something. Make sure you don't give off to much of a smell...whether it is lack of shower or to much cologne.
