You can ask but you may not get an answer, or one you don't like! They can only tell you what they get given but at the end you can ask questions if they haven't already been answered. You should have about 45 mins to an hr with them so should be plenty of timeIm looking into having a thing with a Spiritualist , i need to know certain things , and get some advice?
I believe in God and an afterlife, but I don't believe at all that any person has an inside track. No one knows any more about it than anyone else.
We would all like to believe that there is someone who knows things and can give answers but unfortunately that isn't the case. There are people who believe otherwise and they are even convincing, but my advice would be for you to make your own educated and intuitive guess. Depending on your question or issue you should poll those closest to you also. Then you could make best guess. Good luck.
