Can I get some advice on lip piercings?

I got my lip pierced 2 days ago. It looks normal, its swollen but not red and pussy at all. I just wanted to know if its normal for the inside to be swelling up at the end of the stud? Its digging in the skin, and leaving a ring mark. %26amp; is it going to hurt anything if i use hot 'TABLE SALT water to clean sometimes?Can I get some advice on lip piercings?
its true that table salt is not recommended but it is safe hehe :p and it wont hurt.





also becareful with the digging into skin thing because this girl i know never took care of her piercing and i asked her why it stuck out so much to the point that i could see the bar and she showed me the inside of her lip and it had grown over the metal its a shame she didnt know what she was doing and nobody told her how to take care of it but i figure since it happend to someone i know other people may also be unaware that your lip will grow over if you let it and it will heal and you will need surgery.





btw she still has the piercing im not even sure her mom knows that her lip ate the piercing and its permanent now





also, i have big lips and like that girl above said some studs leave marks on the inside of lips but only if theyre the wrong size for you because thats really not supposed to happen after theyre fully healed and it happens if youre being stubborn and insist on wearing those specific studs. i only get marks if i use 16g but if i were to use 14g the studs wouldnt leave marks cause theyre the correct size for me, i own both sizes.Can I get some advice on lip piercings?
Its normal to swell. Ibuprofen will help that a bit.





Labrets do leave a sort of dent. But your bar needs to have some room. If its too tight, it could embedd, so you need to go to a piercer for a larger bar.





And no table salt!


Non-iodised sea salt. Or buy some ready made saline solution/contact lens solution/h20cean.


1/8-1/4tsp of non-iodised sea salt ina cup of warm water. 2-3 times aday.


Using alcohol free mouthwash for the inside is fine too, cause salt water tastes nasty...
That's normal until the swelling goes down. tbh I used table salt, even though you're not supposed to.. but I'm lazy lol. Ive never had an infection..





it will leave a mark, i have snakebites and on both sides the flat bit of the stud sinks into my lip so you can't see it.... it's fine
Its normal, of course its gonna swell a little. DO NOT USE TABLE SALT. must be sea salt. use a cutip, sip it in warm salty water, and clean the piercing, inside and out. and gargle with it too.
