ok i gave my landlord proof that i wasnt staying at my old property as my ex had throwing me out. this was a joint tenancy, they are now saying that i have to give 4 weeks notice, so how the hell can i give 4 weeks notice when being physically throwing out onto the streets? i cannot look into the future.. and why should i still be made liable for rent arrears that occured after the date i was kicked out by my ex?Can i get advice in this please about rent arrears?
As a joint tenancy he is liable for the whole of the rent. The landlord should not be hassling you.,
