Does anyone have any insider tips and advice to get a 拢4k kitchen quote down in price?

This original quote is from Kitchens Direct who are quite a large company, but we are looking at a similar quote from a local independant retailer also. Any advice from anyone with similar experiences or who works in the trade would be much appreciated.Does anyone have any insider tips and advice to get a 拢4k kitchen quote down in price?
go to B%26amp;Q and take exact measurements of your kitchen including a drawing of the position of doors and windows.They will do a computer drawing of what you want and believe me,they will be half the cost of KD or other rip off artists.They also have a fitting service if you are not up to it yourselves.I fitted mine all but the worktop cutting and plumbing in the new sink.With labour for the plumber and cutting I still had change from 拢2500.Lovely kitchen too.Does anyone have any insider tips and advice to get a 拢4k kitchen quote down in price?
Usual procedure.





Get a few written quotes that specify the same equipment and quality, then 'phone them all back with the lowest one, which ';you will have to beat that to get the job';

Be Direct with both , and say whats your best price , it works everytime with my jeweller , i always get a discount they just want to make a sale ,
Play one against the other blag them on the prices offered and with this recession they should give in. Dont forget with the bigger companies your paying for all their expensive advertising...
Kitchens Direct have more than a few people moaning about them on the internet.
Buy an ex demonstration one if they have any.


Ask for a cash price.


Look on Ebay!
